What is the Maranatha 5K Race and Fun Run?
The Maranatha 5K Race/Walk and Fun Run to raise awareness for priestly vocations and to assist with the cost of educating our Archdiocesan Seminarians. This event is put together through the University of South Alabama's Catholic Student Association, in collaboration with the Archdiocese of Mobile's Vocation Office. It will be on March 15, 2014 - and we are depending on your help!
What was the inspiration?
USA's Catholic Student Association currently has 3 former members in the Seminary, and 2 former members were ordained Priests for the Archdiocese in 2010. This event is run by the students and is an awesome way to connect the Archdiocesan community, raise awareness for priestly vocations, raise financial support for the education of our Archdiocesan seminarians, and to actively unite for the greater glory of God!
